Our Model of Care

Supporting healing, growth, and hope

Well Tree Model of Care

At Best Care, we provide a safe, nurturing environment where young people can heal, grow, and build a positive future.

Our Model of Care is guided by the Welltree Model of Care, combining trauma-informed, attachment-informed, risk-informed, and wellbeing-focused approaches to support each young person’s individual needs.

We focus on relationships, resilience, and developing the skills needed for long-term wellbeing.

Our Model of Care

At Best Care Residential, our practice is guided by the Welltree Model of Care, a trauma-informed, evidence-based framework.
The model focuses on strengthening young people’s wellbeing through supportive relationships, therapeutic care, and opportunities for growth and independence.

Safe & Nurtured

Creating safe, stable environments where young people can build trust and learn to manage behaviour and emotions.

Evidence-Based Approach

Our Model of Care is grounded in research and best practice in residential childcare, using the Welltree Model of Care to support children and young people who have experienced trauma.

We take an integrated, evidence-based approach, combining:

  • Trauma-informed care: understanding behaviour as a response to experience
  • Attachment-informed practice: building safe, trusting relationships
  • Risk-informed care: supporting safer decision-making and coping
  • Wellbeing-focused support: developing strengths, skills, and resilience

Rather than applying one fixed method, our approach focuses on individualised care, allowing staff to respond to each young person’s unique needs.

Using the Welltree Wellbeing Outcomes Framework, we regularly review progress to ensure our care promotes safety, stability, and long-term wellbeing.
